SHIP OPERATORS OBJECTIVES AND POLICY
It is the Company’s policy that all employees in every function execute their work under safe and healthy conditions and with proper concern for protecting the environment.
The management expects every employee, at sea or ashore, to comply with the strict Standards and Instructions defined in the Company’s
“Safety & Quality Management System” (S+QMS).
The safety & quality management system is to give overall safety and quality goals and objectives, as formally expressed by the management.
With this policy, the Company aims to eliminate possible dangers to crew, cargo and vessels and to operate their vessels at the highest possible safety & quality standard.
To achieve and improve the system, all employees are encouraged to report any improvement possibility to the management.
The senior management (at sea and in the office) has the task to explain and train their subordinates.
On an annual basis, goals and objectives will be defined during the Management Review on the basis of the Safety & Quality Co-ordinator’s report.
The Safety & Quality Co-ordinator (DP) is responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the system in office and on board of the operated vessels and to ensure that adequate resources and shore-based support are applied as required.
The DP has to report any observation(s) / deficiencies to the management so that the necessary corrective action(s), improvements can be discussed and implemented.
